Joel gets the chance to drive for JFM!
Parked the #73 JFM Midget on the front straight at Ocean Speedway/ Watsonville Fair Grounds for the BCRA/ Western Midget Racing race just one spot short of the top spot. Congrats to David Prickett on the win, we were giving all we had. Thank you to Jimmy May, Tyler Edwards and Charlie Butcher for their hard work all night. 1st heat race in an Ecotech with BCRA/Western Midget Racing and brought the #73 Josh Ford Motorsports car home in 3rd. Led the first three laps before a couple of fast midgets got me. Made a last ditch attempt and almost got a 2nd.
In the main the car was darn good I just made a few mistakes. Started mid pack and made my way forward on the top. Cushion bit me and I lost some ground but worked my way back to second in class and 4th overall. Awesome first time out in these cars. Thank you Josh Ford Motorsports, I hope to get the chance to do it again. I raced a Focus in the past but these cars are a kick in the butt.
